We recently got a second Pace HD DVR from Service Electric to go with our nifty new TV. The only problem is that HD content is big, and the 160GB drive in the Pace box offers a paltry 30 hours of HD content recording. Thanks to some helpful information by a Pace engineer on AVSForum and some parts from NewEgg, I’ve added quite a bit more space. Read on for the details.

OK, everyone has been bugging me to update the site and put up some new pics of the new dude. And everyone who has seen him in person says the pics up right now look nothing like him. Colin James McCouch was born at 7:23 PM after an awesome effort by Mom and a tiny bit of help from the vacuum cleaner thingy.

Colin is 21-1/2″ long, weighs 8 lb, 13 oz (on 8/13) and scored an 8-9 on his APGAR (his first ‘A’).

Mom and baby are doing great, and he’s having his first meal. Mom is looking forward to some lunch meat from the cafeteria platter.

So this morning, 8/13, there was still no baby. Well, there’s a baby, but it’s still inside Audrey. It’s time to get it out. So here’s what’s going on.

Please note, this post (and/or subsequent ones if I break it up) are not going to be richly composed with my normal pithy wit (I know, that’s the best joke I’ve made yet). I’ll just be trying to keep up with what’s going on, while not ignoring my paternal duties (yikes… I have paternal duties!)

iTunes = BAD. There’s just no other way to say it. But I sure wish I’d figured that out before it wrecked my music collection and ate up all my disk space. Fanboys should navigate away now…
